PUNCAK - Soldiers from the Raider Infantry Battalion 323/Buaya Putih Kostrad, under the HABEMA Operational Command, are combining their security duties with social outreach in Puncak Regency, Papua Tengah Province. On Saturday, October 26, 2024, the 323 Task Forces carried out Social Communication (Komsos) by engaging with youth from Kago Village at State Senior High School 1 Ilaga.
This social interaction focused on music practice with the students, offering a refreshing break from routine security operations. The activity aimed to support the school’s art lessons while fostering trust and unity between TNI soldiers and the local youth.
Commander of the 323 Task Forces, Lieutenant Colonel Tri Wiratno, stressed the importance of addressing the community’s needs while on duty. "We want to not only ensure security but also build meaningful relationships with the people in the area, " he said.
Through this activity, the soldiers and students practiced music together, creating a joyful atmosphere. Matius Tabuni, one of the youth participants, expressed his excitement: “Thank you, Commander 323. We are happy to practice music together. God bless.” His words reflect the impact of TNI’s efforts to build trust and strengthen bonds within the community.
Upon receiving a report on the activity, Brigadier General Lucky Avianto, the Commanding General of HABEMA, praised the 323 Task Forces for their initiative. "This activity demonstrates TNI’s commitment to inclusive social communication that supports both security and community development, " he said.
The “music practice” initiative showcases how small gestures can create lasting connections, giving the youth hope and optimism for the future. It also strengthens TNI’s role as both protectors and community partners in Papua’s development.
